BWU delegates meeting

Article by Tre Greaves

Hundreds are gathered at the Barbados Workers Union headquarters at Solidarity House for the 78th Annual Delegates’ Conference.

The event, which is being held under the theme Revive, Re-energise, began around 9: 30 a.m. and it’s expected to continue for the rest of the day.

General Secretary Toni Moore and deputy general secretary Dwaine Paul are among the executive members attending, while Carl Boyce is chairing the meeting, sitting in for president Linda Brooks.

During her address, Moore said some of the matters to be addressed later during their closed-door session included creating new opportunities for workers, and cooperatives. (TG)
