North under flood warning again
Moderate to heavy showers and thunderstorms over the northern and central sections of the island have prompted the Barbados Meteorological Services to issue a flash flood warning.
The warning was issued at 2 p.m. today and will remain in effect for the northern and central districts of the island until five o’clock this evening.
Rainfall accumulations in excess of 25 mm (one inch) have already been recorded and further accumulations of 25 to 50 mm (one to two inches) are likely as the afternoon progresses.
Residents in flood-prone areas should remain on the alert and take all necessary precautions. (PR)
