Some parents of students at Harrison College are calling for an immediate environmental investigation after a number of their children fell ill.

And the Crumpton Street, Bridgetown school’s Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) has gone as far as advising parents not to send their children to classes if they see signs of ailments.

THE NATION understands that yesterday about 19 children in a Class 2 reported absent due to “flu-like” symptoms that include sore throats, vomiting, headache along with feelings of lethargy.

The PTA bulletin advised: “To prevent the spread of the virus, we encourage parents not to send their children to school if they are exhibiting any symptoms. Parents are also advised to seek medical attention.” (SDB Media)
