Dessie willing to serve
In spite of not finding favour with Cricket West Indies (CWI) for the job of head coach, Desmond Haynes remains keen and available to serve regional cricket.
In an exclusive interview with Weekend Sport yesterday, the legendary Haynes, who is the most capped Barbadian Test cricketer with 116 matches, said he has much to offer West Indies’ cricket.
“I am available to serve in any capacity. Cricket is my game and I know I can contribute in some way. West Indies’ cricket means a lot to me. I have the know-how and the experience,” he said.
Haynes, 63, has 18 Test hundreds and is the only Barbadian with a one-day international century at Kensington Oval. (MK)
