The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) blood bank is asking Barbadians to donate A positive and O positive blood.

According to a statement issued by communications specialist Lyn-Marie Deane, the blood donations will help the hospital’s blood bank to assist patients with serious medical needs.

These conditions include cancer patients, people with blood disorders, premature babies and cardiac and trauma victims.

Volunteers must be between the ages of 18 and 70, and are asked to donate blood at the National Blood Collecting Centre located at Ladymeade Gardens, St Michael, between 8 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. and 12 noon on Saturdays. (PR)
