LEAD INVESTIGATOR Sergeant Michael Ifill said he removed an empty shell from the scene where Charley Dume was killed.
He made the disclosure under cross-examination by defence attorney Mohia Ma’at in the No. 2 Supreme Court yesterday.
Ma’at is representing Ryan Omar Samuel (below), 38, of Grape Hall, St Lucy, who has pleaded not guilty to murdering Nelson Street proprietor Dume on April 26, 2014.
Ifill, who had 34 years’ experience, told the court he returned to the scene the day after the fatal shooting and retrieved an empty shell while accompanied by one of the witnesses.
