THE ALLEYNE SCHOOL pulled off two brilliant performances to storm away with the Under-15 and Senior Boys’ events during the Barbados Secondary Schools’ Athletic Championships Cross Country Relays yesterday.

The Belleplaine, St Andrew school was the only one to emerge winners in two events during the gruelling 6 x 1 000 metres series at the Combermere School.

However, Alleyne added to their glory when they took third place in the boys’ first form relay, which the Lester Vaughan School won.

Springer Memorial ran away with the first form girls’ title, while hosts  Combermere and Christ Church Foundation secured the Senior Girls and Under-15 titles, respectively. (RG)
