Lowe: Time for Dems to rise again
IT IS TIME for the Democratic Labour Party (DLP) to become a viable political institution again and fight the Mia Amor Mottley Government.
That challenge was thrown out yesterday by former minister Dr Denis Lowe to members of the last Freundel Stuart administration. They included former ministers Dr David Estwick, Richard Sealy, Ronald Jones and Steve Blackett, who attended a joint meeting of the St Philip North and West branches at Princess Margaret Secondary School.
Lowe charged there was “great discontent in the country” and no third party should step ahead of the DLP. He said the answer to the problems facing the country were not “solutions based” but rested on the foundation of social democracy and the mores of the DLP.(DF)
