Marshall urges Bajans to speak up

‘See something, say something’.

Attorney General Dale Marshall said this message was as important heading into 2020 as it ever was.

Marshall said the prevailing code of silence among Barbadians was hampering the work of the police and needed to stop as the New Year approached.

“We have to support the police. It is so common these days for some individuals to see something happen and then clam up and pretend they did not see anything and that makes it impossible for the police to conduct a proper investigation,” said Marshall yesterday after a service at the Berea Seventh-Day Adventist Church, St Elizabeth Village, St Joseph in honour of acting Judge Laurie-Ann Smith-Bovell’s community work.
