Geriatric Hospital reopens to the public

Visitors will once again be allowed on all wards of the Geriatric Hospital, at Beckles Road, St Michael institution, from tomorrow.

Additionally, the day care programme will recommence on January 6. The hospital’s management reported that the viral illness, which led to the temporary cessation of visits, had been successfully contained.

However, visitors and day care clients who are experiencing coughs, runny nose or fever are advised to refrain from visiting or attending hospital services until all symptoms clear up.

The management thanked all persons for complying with the restrictions over the past three weeks. (BGIS)
