UPDATE: Shooting victim dies at QEH

The man who was shot in Redmans Village, St Thomas, last night has succumbed to his injuries.

Twenty-six-year-old Kirt Bowen, of the same address, was pronounced dead around 11:15 p.m. at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Police say a group of men were liming under a shed around 7:15 p.m. when the “loud explosions” were heard. Bowen was passing through the area at the time and was shot.

It is the 49th murder for 2019.

Investigations are continuing into this matter and anyone who may have information related to this incident is asked to contact District D Police Station at 419-1726/1729, Police Emergency 211, Crime Stoppers 1-800-8477(TIPS) or any Police Station. (PR/SAT)
