Sea conditions forecast to deteriorate
Barbados could be issued with yet another high-surf advisory and small craft warning.
According to a release from The Met Office, forecast models indicate a deterioration of sea conditions from late Sunday through Tuesday.
Large swells propagating southwards from a deep-layered low pressure system in the North Atlantic are expected to affect coastal waters, peaking near 4 metres or 13 feet.
If this trend continues, the advisory will be issued on Saturday and residents are advised to pay attention to updates from The Barbados Meteorological Services.
Large waves and dangerous rip currents could create unsafe conditions for small craft operators, particularly on the eastern, northeastern, north, northwestern and western coastlines, becoming even more acute during high tide. (PR/SAT)
