Joy for St Alban’s, Good Shepherd
ST ALBAN’S Honey Badgers boys and Jordan’s Supermarket Good Shepherd Jaguars romped to their third straight titles yesterday in the Rubis-sponsored Andrea Blackett Zone of the National Primary Schools’ Athletics Championships at the National Stadium.
Spearheaded by record breakers and joint victor ludorum Isaiah Marshall and Eliezer Williams, St Alban’s amassed 263 points, leaving Good Shepherd in second place on 176 and St Cyprian’s Boys’ third on 170.
Victrix ludorum Kiam-Rae Orford led Good Shepherd to the girls’ crown with 231 points. Selah were second on 165 and St Joseph Primary third with 155.
Marshall set a zone record of 1:03.89 minutes in the Under-13 Boys’ 400, forcing St Cyprian’s Aidan Moore (1:06.40), who won his heat, to settle for second place.(EZS)
