The stage has been set and the field readied for some of the best displays of polo in the second set of matches in the Battle of the Sexes and Barbados vs The Villages USA tournament at Apes Hill today.

Sunday is the anticipated final of this outstanding series of matches and the perfect event to spice-up your weekend. Holders Polo Club will host the exciting conclusion to the Battle of the Sexes and Barbados vs The Villages USA at 3 p.m.

Last week, the women fought off the men to secure a win 5-4. The Villages USA were also victorious in the first match, coming from behind to clinch the win in the final chukka 7-5.

There have been entertaining battles on the field since this year’s polo season got underway.

The last epic showdown of Gildan Barbados vs Reservation Caribbean Canada certainly did not disappoint on February 9, with Barbados winning 3-1.

Adam Dean of the Barbados Polo Club said they saw, “One of the biggest crowds we have had for a while; a good competitive game. Barbados came out on top.”

More than just a polo match for the ages, the after party with Alan Sheppard from sunset was an event not to be missed. The champagne flowed and the legendary Sheppard was entertaining, underscoring that Sunday Polo Events is the place to be.

Deane was quite pleased with the performances of the day and the after-match lime.

“Yes, definitely, crowd stayed on until after Alan was finished, everyone dancing and so on. We are having him back on 23rd February and 8th March.”

Always more than just polo, everyone should be super excited for Sunday’s field prizes of Perrier-Jouët Champagne compliments of MASSY Distribution – Barbados and an island tour for one lucky winner and 11 friends with Sweet Fuh Dayz Tours.

A Staycation at Palm Beach, thanks to Realtors Luxury Villa Rentals, Property Management and Insurance Agent will be raffled. And after the polo is finished, Alan Sheppard will be rocking the clubhouse into the night. Start time is 3:15 p.m. The cost is Bds$20 and children under 12 are free.

Be sure to make it to Sunday’s double header tournament finals of Barbados vs The Villages Polo Club (USA) and The Battle of the Sexes – Diamonds International Barbados Ladies vs The Mercedes-Benz Barbados Men.

The Battle of the Sexes is what this final is all about.
