Agrofest a hit with children

Scores of schoolchildren descended on the grounds of Queen’s Park today to see the variety of exhibits and animals at this year’s Agrofest 2020.

From tiny tots in nursery to teenagers in secondary school explored the many offerings at the biggest annual agricultural expo in Barbados.

Along with the prized animals there was a bountiful display of fruits and vegetables. Students were also taught at the Ministry of Health and Wellness stall how to prepare healthy and tasty dishes using the freshly grown produce.

The livestock animals were also a hit with the children who were fascinated with, and delighted to touch, pet and feed the sheep, rabbits and cows. (SB)
