Changes in access to A&E Department at hospital

Social Share

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) announced today that from March 13 to 16 there will be temporary changes in accessing the Accident and Emergency Department as workmen prepare the site for renovations and expansion.

During this period, there will be restricted access to the area containing the ambulance bay and a section of the stretch leading to the Accident and Emergency entrance. As a result, all vehicles will utilise the road next to the staff car park to access the department. This road will now facilitate two-way traffic.

Private vehicles are not allowed to drive under the canopy. People seeking medical care are asked to disembark in the designated area on the road next to the department’s entrance. The canopy is now reserved for ambulances only.

Security personnel will be on site to assist. The board of management of the QEH apologises for the inconvenience.
