Plans to use technology if schools forced to close
Plans are being put in place for teaching to continue even if schools are closed as a result of the Covid-19 threat.
During a sensitisation meeting called yesterday by the Ministry of Education, principals were told about Government’s plan of action and measures to utilise the available technological platforms such as Google Classroom so students would not fall behind in their studies.
The NATION understands that the ministry will, from as early as next week, be providing training for teachers and assisting schools with the setting up of the platform for those schools that presently do not have it.
