People over 70 years old have been advised to stay indoors for the next three months to reduce their possibility of contracting the deadly coronavirus (COVID-19).
And promoters of large-scale events scheduled during that same period are being urged to push them back.
Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley made these recommendations yesterday during an interview at Ilaro Court with the Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation, which was later shared with other media outlets.
Up to yesterday according to World Health Organisation figures, there were more than 150 000 COVID-19 cases worldwide, with more than 5 700 deaths.
During the 50-minute interview, Mottley, who was accompanied by czar for COVID-19, Richard Carter, reiterated that Barbados still had no confirmed cases and was still at Stage Zero of the Barbados National Pandemic Preparedness Plan. (TG)
