All businesses in Barbados will close from midnight tomorrow and reopen on April 15.

Attorney General Dale Marshall was speaking today in light of two more positive tests for coronavirus COVID-19. Confirmed positive cases are now at 26. This is in addition to the announcement from Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley in relation to the curfew last night.

However several essential services as outlined by the Prime Minister will remain open. Barbados entered Stage 3 of the national response to the virus yesterday. Mottley, accompanied by Acting Chief Medical Officer Dr Anton Best said during the address that there were 24 positive cases at that time. (KG)
