GOVERNMENT is far from satisfied with Barbadians who continue to ignore social distancing and those on the streets while the country is under a curfew.

And COVID-19 czar Richard Carter is warning that officials are seriously contemplating more restrictions which could see an extension of the current 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew.

“I want to appeal to Barbadians to employ reason,” Carter said as a guest caller on Starcom Network’s Down to Brass Tacks programme yesterday.

“But if that appeal to reason does not work, there are other measures which will be put in place,” he said, hinting that a longer curfew could be on the cards. (BA)
