One of the suppliers of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) says there is no shortage on the island, but at another company, some anxious Barbadians were crying out they could not access any.

Marketing manager of RUBIS Caribbean, Andrea Gooding, yesterday told the  NATION: “RUBIS wishes to confirm it has adequate stocks of LPG gas and fuel.
“However, with the higher than normal levels of demand and the strict curfew rules which have been instituted as a result of COVID-19, delivery to some stations may be disrupted and, as a result, delayed,” she added.

But at SOL’s Spring Garden, St Michael plant, about 20 people had assembled from as early as 9 a.m. trying to get bottled gas. (RA)
