The Barbados Light and Power has cited a fault on a 24kv transmission line as the reason that some Barbadians lost power in the early hours of this morning.

Communications Coordinator, Jennifer Blackman in a media release said, “This morning at approximately 5:45 a.m. there was a fault on a 24kv transmission line which caused a large number of our customers to lose supply.”

Blackman said the teams were quickly able to identify the source of the fault and restoration commenced at 5:56 a.m. and all customers were restored by 6:51 a.m. (PR/KOB)
