Campbell out to make good
Modified 3 driver Justin Campbell has not yet closed the post-mortem on his team’s trying performance in last year’s Sol Rally Barbados but he is looking forward to doing much better should this year’s event go ahead.
Campbell, who sat in with co-driver Ayrton Bannister for Sol Rally Barbados last year, said he and his team were still trying to find answers as to why the new parts failed for them last year.
“Every new part we replaced on the car failed, and that is something that we are still debating, but, nonetheless, it was an experience that we all enjoyed and embraced as a team. And with all that behind us, we are going forward this year, hoping that Sol Rally Barbados comes off, and that it would be a winning and successful year for us,” he said.
Campbell, who will be at the wheel of the Republic Bank’s “Blue Machine” BMW M3, said the lockdown is a blessing in disguise, as it gives the team more time to get the car ready for the what could be a competitive season, especially in his group. (TT)
