We have to ‘kickstart the economy’

It won’t be business as usual tomorrow when Phase Two of Government’s reopening plan begins.

President of the Barbados Chamber of Commerce Trisha Tannis, however,  said companies were ready to help get the economy up-and-running again.

“We’re happy that the Government has listened to the concerns of the private sector regarding the prolonged closure of businesses, which had a debilitating impact on most businesses and sectors,” Tannis said. 

In late March, Government closed all non-essential businesses, and encouraged Barbadians to work remotely to prevent further spread of the coronavirus. (TG)
