International exposure is the key for the region’s junior footballers to produce stellar performances and win major trophies.

This was the advice given to Concacaf member associations by the Argentina Football Association (AFA) during an online video conference for a National Youth Team’s Management and Training Model last week.

It was organised by the embassy of Argentina in Barbados and included more than 70 coaches and administrators from the Caribbean Football Union (CFU).

It’s just the latest step in a memorandum of understanding signed in 2018 between the CFU and AFA, which led to the Barbados Under-17 national football team touring Buenos Aires and linking up with Boca Juniors. (A G-B)
