Three charged in shooting death
Police from the Major Crime Unit have charged three people in relation to criminal matters which arose out of the shooting death of Jerimiah Grannum on April 26, 2020 at 6th Avenue, New Orleans, St Michael.
The three who were charged are: Kemo Antonio Bryan, 24, of Rock Gap, Baxters Road; Kenaz Aaron Crichlow, 19, of Rock Gap, Baxters Road and Edward Junior George 26, of Kensington New Road, all in St Michael.
Police said in a media release that both Bryan and Chrichlow are charged with the following offences:
• On April 26, 2020, they murdered Jerimiah Grannum.
• On April 26, 2020, without lawful excuse, damaged a siding board, vase and a wooden chair belonging to Kerri-Ann Stuart intending to damage such property or being reckless as to whether such property would be damaged.
• On April 26, 2020 without lawful excuse, damaged one door belonging to Tanya Powlett intending to damage such property or was reckless as to whether such property would be damaged.
The statement also said that Edward Junior George has been charged that on April 26, 2020 he carried a firearm and did not have a valid licence to do so.
Between April 26, 2020 and May 9, 2020, knowing or believing that Kenaz Crichlow had committed an arrestable offence to wit: murder did, without lawful authority or reasonable excuse, assist Crichlow by supplying him with food, an act with intent to impede his apprehension or prosecution.
They are all scheduled to appear at the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court on Monday, May 18, 2020 at 9 a.m. (PR)
