Two new virus cases, one recovery

Confirmed novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in Barbados have reached 88.

The Ministry of Health and Wellness said today that two Barbadian women are the latest positive cases. Aged 21 and 35, they were both identified through contact tracing.

Meanwhile, one person will be released from isolation today.

The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory carried out 141 tests yesterday, bringing the total number of tests completed since February 11 to 3 924.  Sixty-eight people have now recovered, and 13 are in isolation. There have been seven deaths. (BGIS)
