Gunman begs for a chance
The man found guilty of discharging a firearm outside Moontown, St Lucy, nine years ago, but not guilty of shooting at an off-duty lawman, begged for a chance to become “a responsible father” and a “person of significance” on June 12.
Tevin Ramon Skeete, 27, of Crab Hill, St Lucy, was back in the No. 3 Supreme Court after he was convicted at an earlier Session of the Continuous Sittings.
He had been accused of shooting at Sergeant Ewin Norville on January 14, 2011, which placed him in danger of death or serious bodily harm. He was also accused of using a firearm on the same date when he was not the holder of a licence.
The jury had found him guilty of that offence, but not guilty of conduct endangering life. (HLE)
