BWA warns of low pressure, outages
Barbados Water Authority (BWA) customers in parts of St James, St Andrew, St Thomas and St Joseph have been advised to expect low pressure or water outages to continue.
BWA, in a media release today, said these customers “shall continue to experience low pressure or water outages as low reservoir levels and reduced capacity continue to be an issue at some BWA stations”.
“The Authority’s tanker crews will continue to do their best to service residents in the affected areas supplied by these systems,” the statement said.
BWA also said that even though the Hurricane Season has officially started, the island is still feeling the effects of a prolonged drought.
“You are reminded that you must store water to assist yourself and your family on an ongoing basis and particularly at this time. As usual, we reiterate five gallons per person, per day, per household for a minimum of five days, or as much as your household requires. (PR)
