Fourteen former staff of Primo Bar & Bistro Restaurant are back on the job.

The popular fine dining restaurant located at St Lawrence Gap, Christ Church, is reopening under new management and some of the displaced staff have been rehired.

They were among 150 employees of Primo, Hugo’s and Cin Cin On The Beach operated by Chaps Restaurants Ltd which abruptly closed all three of the businesses last March without any prior notice.

New owners, businessmen Zary Evelyn and Mark Maloney, held a press conference on June 19 at Primo surrounded by staff, including four new members, to announce the July 1 reopening.

Head Chef Jason Gittens, who worked at Primo for several years, said he was relieved and excited. (MB)
