All cameras at the Gymnasium of the Garfield Sobers Sports Complex were focused on the friends and family of Christoff Griffith yesterday as they celebrated his life.
Although it was a life cut short, those who loved him had much to say about the 25-year-old who was killed on June 22 while covering a crime scene.
For close to 30 minutes, hundreds had their focus on Sergeant Christopher Griffith who eulogised his son in a touching and at times humorous tribute.
From the mourners who sat six feet apart on the ground floor and the others who looked down from the seats at the Gymnasium, they were all engrossed as Griffith told stories about Christoff’s love for family, mum Sonia, and brothers Chad and Shaquan.
“Christoff was part of the tripod in our lives, being the eldest, he was the protective life of the trip over his two siblings, making sure that no one did them any harm or they would have to answer to him. Although he and his brothers did not see eye-to-eye or lens to lens he was there to give them good advice and counsel. (TG)
