The internationally banned multi-level marketing scheme, CROWD1, has raised its head in Barbados.
Barbadians have been invited to sign up friends and family to CROWD1 and promised attractive monetary returns for their persistent work, DAILY NATION investigations have revealed.
Pitches about monetary earnings have been made in online webinars following email and cell phone marketing by Barbadians.
But it was found that the Securities and Exchange Commission of the Phillipines in May ordered CROWD1 to stop its illegal investment scheme. Inquirer.net, an online newspaper, reported last Friday an appeal by CROWD1 had been turned down. (HH)
