Fogging Schedule September 7 to 11, 2020

The Vector Control Unit of the Ministry of Health and Wellness continues its fogging exercise next week in St Peter, St Lucy, St Phillip, and Christ Church.

On Monday, Half Moon Fort in St Lucy will be fogged along with Shermans, Colleton Gardens with Avenues, Six Men’s, Six Men’s Village, Maynards, Maynards Development and environs in St Peter.

On Tuesday, fogging continues in St Philip in Lucas Street, Windward Gardens with Avenues, Tranquility Drive, Park Drive, Ruby Drive, Duncans, Beulah, Sandy Hill and surrounding areas.

For the rest of the week the Unit will concentrate its efforts in Christ Church, starting Wednesday, when Hopefield Road, Walronds, Charnocks, Spencers, Iris Sam Gardens, Fairy Valley, Fairy Valley Tenantry, Holbourne Terrace, Chancery Lane and environs will be sprayed.

On Thursday, the team will fog Graeme Hall Terrace, Graeme Hall Park, Maxwell Hill, Maxwell Main Road, Maxwell Terrace with Avenues, Maxwell Gardens and surrounding areas.

And on Friday, they will fog Maxwell Main Road, Laynes Road, Hilton Road, Mahogany Court, Moravian Gardens, Fairholme Gardens, Hythe Gardens and environs.

Fogging takes place between 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. each day. Householders are reminded to open their windows and doors to allow the spray to enter.

Meanwhile, Senior Environmental Health Officer, Dale Holligan, has asked the public to note that the completion of scheduled fogging activities may be affected on occasion by circumstances beyond the Unit’s control.

“In such circumstances, the Unit will return to the communities affected in the soonest possible time,” she assured. (BGIS)
