UPDATE: Cyclist dies on the spot

The male cyclist who died on the spot at St Stephen’s Hill, St Michael, after a collision with a car on Wednesday afternoon, was identified as Vincent Alleyne.

Police say the 45-year-old, who lived at nearby Free Hill in Black Rock, was travelling from Waterman Road on to St Stephen’s Hill when the accident occurred around 1:30 p.m.

The driver of MX934, who has not been identified, was travelling west from St Stephen’s Hill towards Black Rock Main Road, and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance, complaining of back and shoulder injuries.
