Small craft advisory

Date:

Share post:

A small craft advisory will be in effect for Barbados from 6 p.m. Wednesday until 6 p.m. the following day.

The Barbados Meteorological Services says seas will be moderate to rough in open water, with swells ranging from 2 to 3 metres (7 to 10 feet) and increasing, mainly on the northern, eastern and southern coasts of the island.

All marine craft operators and beachgoers should look out for large open water swells which can be hazardous to some vessels and make the operation of smaller craft difficult.

The advisory may be discontinued sooner if conditions warrant. (PR/SAT)
