A now 26-year-old woman tearfully recalled how Constable Jason Andre Callender raped her on several occasions at his house when she was 16 years old.
The witness, who was in the No. 5A Supreme Court yesterday, said the accused would apologise to her after each act.
The complainant said she went to live with her sister and her sister’s boyfriend, who was the accused, in his two-bedroom house after she was put out by her mother with whom she did not have a good relationship.
She explained she slept on a pull-out sofa in the front house but had access to the second bedroom and all the amenities in the house.
The complainant told the court the first time the accused attempted to have sex with her he did not fully penetrate. She said he subsequently raped her “over and over”. (HLE)
