Two visitors, a 27-year-old female and a 16-year-old male, are the latest novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in Barbados.

The woman arrived on a British Airways flight from the United Kingdom on September 24, and the young man arrived on September 22, also on British Airways. They both tested positive after a second test yesterday.

The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory conducted 358 tests yesterday, bringing the total since February to 24 108.

Confirmed cases number 195, comprising 106 females and 89 males. Nine people are in isolation.

No one will be discharged from the isolation facility at Harrison Point, St Lucy today and, as a result, the number of recoveries remains at 179. Seven people have died. (BGIS)
