All systems are go for the resumption of horse racing at the Garrison Savannah.

Three months after Government lifted COVID-19 restrictions on sporting events, the Barbados Turf Club (BTC) is set to host a big racing card today.

It’s the first time in seven months that locally based jockeys will return to the saddle for competitive racing because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The BTC was forced to suspended races one week after the 39th running of the Sandy Lane Gold Cup on March 7.

Liaison officer Mohommed Mohamad told Saturday Sport the BTC is excited to resume racing at the historic venue. (AG-B)
