Remembrance Day Parade on November 8

Remembrance Sunday will be observed on November 8, at National Heroes Square, The City, with an adapted parade and Virtual Interdenominational Memorial Service.

The parade will commence at 8 a.m., and will be streamed via various social media platforms.

The Barbados Regiment will provide the Guard of Honour, with the Queen’s and the Regimental Colours being carried on parade. The only other troops on parade will be the sentries around the Cenotaph, flag bearers, wreath bearers and the Royal Barbados Police Force Band.

In attendance will be Governor-General Dame Sandra Mason; Prime Minister

Mia Amor Mottley; Chief Justice of Barbados, Patterson Cheltenham; Leader of the Opposition, Joseph Atherley, Head of the Diplomatic Corps, Linda S. Taglialatela; .

Commissioner of Police, Tyrone Griffith; Chief of Staff, Colonel Glyne Grannum; and a representative from The Barbados Legion.

Full rehearsals will be held at National Heroes’ Square on Sunday, November 1, beginning at 8 a.m. (BGIS)
