Police investigating death at Date Tree Hill

Police are investigating the unnatural death of a man in Date Tree Hill, St Peter.

Word coming to hand is that the body of a male was discovered this evening in a ravine in the area.

Police public relations officer Acting Inspector Rodney Inniss, before heading to the scene moments ago, informed Nation News that initial reports indicated the man had been the occupant of a vehicle which tried to go through heavy rains around the Lamberts, St Lucy area earlier today as flash flooding was affecting the north of the island.

The raging waters took the car off the road, and the body of the man was later discovered in a waterway near a bushy area in Date Tree Hill.

More details as they come to hand. (BA)
