Coast Guard, RSS rescue missing fisherman

The Coast Guard rescued a fisherman who was missing at sea for three days.

Shawn McClean was found 23 nautical miles off of Speightstown, St Peter, on Thursday, by Coast Guard offshore patrol vessel HMBS Rudyard Lewis.

McClean, who was aboard M240 Bizzardtyne, was reported missing on Monday.

Commanding officer Lieutenant Coast Guard Andrew Walcott and crew  took McClean to the HMBS Pelican headquarters where he received a secondary medical assessment at the BDF Florence Gittens Medical Facility.

The rescue was a joint operation between the Barbados Defence Force and the Regional Security System.  (SAT)
