Less than two months after a hanging in Dunscombe, St Thomas, the community has again been plunged into mourning under similar circumstances.

Those who knew 17-year-old Ashawna Ajada Sandiford are still trying to understand what caused her to commit suicide.

She was found hanging in a room of the family home around 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The body was reportedly found by her 14-year-old brother.

In October, an 18-year-old man was found hanging by a rope between two chicken coops at his father’s residence. (RA)
