Some former long-standing employees of The Lucky Horseshoe restaurant are crying out for their severance pay, saying it has become increasingly difficult to pay bills and buy food.
However, despite their complaints, the company maintains it has done everything by the book.
Yesterday, four women, with 65 cumulative years at the company, and who did not want to be identified, acknowledged that they had received contributions from the state and the company. But without a steady income, their hardship increased since they were laid off nine months ago because of the lockdown caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
