Government-operated day nurseries will be closed from Monday, February 1, to Friday, February 19, in light of the impending “national pause” from February 3 to 17.

The Child Care Board said in a statement on Friday that its office will be closed from February 3 to 17. However, in the event of child abuse emergencies, people may call telephone number 256-9664 or 256-9023, or the police emergency hotline at 211.

Parents and guardians are also reminded to ensure that they provide a safe and secure environment for their children during this “lockdown” period.

The Child Care Board thanks the public for its understanding, as it continues to work in the best interest of children. (BGIS)
