Pride fielding first in Super50 Cup opener

Barbados Pride will field after Guyana Jaguars won the toss in their opening match of the West Indies Super50 Cup today in Antigua.

The day/night cricket contest is being played at the Coolidge Cricket Ground on the outskirts of the Antigua capital of St John’s.

Pride omitted Joshua Bishop, Dominic Drakes, Jonathan Drakes and Nicholas Kirton from their tournament squad of 15 for this match.

Teams:

BARBADOS PRIDE: Zachary McCaskie, Justin Greaves, Jonathan Carter, Shamarh Brooks, Roston Chase, Jason Holder (captain), Tevyn Walcott (wicketkeeper), Ashley Nurse, Akeem Jordan, Keon Harding, Chemar Holder.

GUYANA JAGUARS: Chandrapaul Hemraj, Assad Fudadin, Shimron Hetmyer, Leon Johnson (captain), Christopher Barnwell, Anthony Bramble (wicketkeeper), Akshaya Persaud, Romario Shepherd, Kevin Sinclair, Gudakesh Motie, Niall Smith.

UMPIRES: Joel Wilson, Patrick Gustard.
