People queued outside the post office at Welches, St Michael from as early as 7:30 a.m. today.

Post offices opened today after being closed since the National Pause began on February 3. The initial pause was implemented from February 3 to 17 and has been extended in order to curb the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

Post offices are open to allow people such as pensioners to cash National Insurance Scheme cheques.

All businesses are closed except those identified as essential services. (KG)
