Oversight team tackling IT issues in schools
The Ministry of Education has set up an oversight committee to help fine tune online hiccups cropping up from time to time.
Minister of Education Santia Bradshaw said the ministry was working along with school officials and parents in navigating the challenges.
Schools were forced to revert to strict online classes after a spike in COVID-19 positive cases at the end of December and continued increases led to curfews and a lockdown from February 3 until monthend.
Last year, the minister announced schools would resume face-to-face teaching in a phased process at the start of this term.
One of the challenges facing the ministry was the home environment, and Bradshaw said there were some who did not want to make their surroundings public. (RA)
