Long line at Drive-In for vaccinations

Scores of motorists are waiting in a long queue on the outskirts of the Globe Drive-In in Christ Church, to receive their first dose of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine.

Several individuals who made their appointments, spoke to the Nation around noon.

Some people said they were waiting from as early as 9:30 a.m., and at that time  the line had stretched as far as Sheraton Mall in Sargeant’s Village.

But despite the wait, they said they were willing to make the sacrifice.

Earlier this month, Barbados began its National COVID-19 vaccination programme and so far about 30 000 people have received their first dose of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine. (TG)
