Brathwaite to debut as Test umpire
A Barbadian umpire will stand in the middle in Test cricket for the first time in 24 years when the West Indies take on Sri Lanka in the upcoming two-match home series in Antigua.
Gregory Brathwaite is reportedly set to make his debut as an on-field official during the first Test at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, which starts on March 21.
The 51-year-old, who hails from St Philip, has been an international umpire since making his debut in the One-Day International format in the 2011-2013 International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cricket League Championship.
He has since gone on to umpire in 44 ODIs and 28 Twenty20s. (AGB)
