One of the contenders in the Cricket West Indies (CWI) leadership race, Calvin Hope, is calling for a far greater adherence to the corporate documents of the organisation.
Hope, a lawyer, said this would help to eliminate some of the issues that have bedevilled the overall management of the organisation in the past.
He has partnered with Anand Sanasie, the secretary of the Guyana Cricket Board, to challenge incumbents Dr Kishore Shallow and Ricky Skerritt for the posts of CWI vice-president and president, respectively.
“You have clear governance principles and rules set up in a document and those articles are quite modern,” Hope said during a recent media conference at Kensington Oval. “From time to time, you will want to change some things – and that has happened. . .” (AR)
